On April 14, 2024, Madeline Hocking will join the Manhattan String Quartet to give workshops and masterclasses to amateur musicians and music students on Joseph Haydn’s String Quartets. This event will be held at the Greenwich House Music School, NYC.
Described by the Boston Globe as “a national treasure,” the MANHATTAN STRING QUARTET is celebrating its 51st season. Well known for their performances of 20th-century “classics,” the Manhattan Quartet has established a significant international reputation with regular concert appearances throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Notable among its many recordings is the complete cycle of 15 Shostakovich string quartets that TIME Magazine called “One of the most important musical events of 1991.” They hold regular workshops on classical quartet repertoire, occurring in the fall and spring of each year.
Madeline Hocking will join this legendary string quartet in instructing young and amateur musicians on Haydn’s String Quartet no. 3 opus 50 in Eb Major. Don’t miss this opportunity to work with these world class string performers; register today!
